2022 SUI Tax Rate Update:

As of January 14th, 43 states have issued 2022 Tax Rate notices, with 4 additional states or jurisdictions estimated to release them by the end of January.


Below is a list of important upcoming deadlines:


Penalty / Rate Protest Deadlines:

Arkansas – January 17 / California – February 28 / Colorado – February 7

Louisiana - February 12 / Michigan - February 1 / Montana – January 20

Rhode Island - January 20 / Washington – January 28

West Virginia – February 23 / Wyoming - January 29


Voluntary Contribution Deadlines:

Arizona – February 28 / Georgia – February 3 / Louisiana – February 15

Massachusetts – February 18 / Maine – January 30 / Michigan – January 28

Missouri – January 18 / Pennsylvania – January 30 / Rhode Island – February 4

Washington – February 15 / West Virginia – February 23


Joint Account Deadlines:

Arizona – February 28 / West Virginia – February 23


Taxable Wage Base Update:

49 states have issued their 2022 SUI Taxable Wage Base. See our 2022 Wage Base Chart for a list of all states 2021 and 2022 SUI Wage Base.
